Welcome to the Coastal
Bend BEST Website!
Hello! My name is Sheryl Custer and I
am the Executive Director for the Coastal Bend BEST Hub. I also serve as
the Executive Assistant to the Dean in the Frank H. Dotterweich College
of Engineering at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
BEST, which stands for Boosting Engineering Science and Technology,
promotes and facilitates the academic development that our students need
not only in the STEM disciplines, but in writing, media presentation,
web design, oral presentation, and teamwork as well. We service schools
in both the coastal bend and valley area by serving as the catalyst for
academic growth and excellence. Our team of faculty, staff, and
community leaders have dedicated and devoted their personal time,
efforts, and energy to ensure that our future – our students – obtain
the necessary tools to achieve this endeavor.
